Thanks to everyone who responded with good birding spots around Margaret
River. I was primarily over there for a wedding, but got some quality
birding in as well, including some great views of Red-Eared Firetails at
Conto Springs/Beach, and a Rock Parrot at Augusta.
There was also an amazing looking Scarlet Robin at the house we were
staying at in Gracetown which had some sort of leucism/melanism.
All of the photos from my trip can be viewed here ->

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] RFI - WA - Red-Eared Firetail
Hi Everyone,
I'm heading over to the west later in the month, staying in Margaret
River and Fremantle for most of the time. Does anyone have any good
Red-Eared Firetail spots? I've been over there a few times and have only
had a glipmse of one (at Wungong Dam I think) - not enough for a photo
or even a tick!
Are there any other generally good spots in the area that I shouldn't
miss out on?
Cheers
