Well, this isn't about birding either.
True, it would be preferable to keep on subject a bit more, but I can't see
what all the fuss is about unless you get real spam. The delete button is
just on the right side of the keyboard..... a few hits on this can save some
energy and frustration!
I reckon I delete 80% and read about 20% of the emails birding-aus. That's
not to denigrate the items I don't read.

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] Australian Wild Birds and Birdwatching

Here's an unusual topic - Australian Wild Birds and Birdwatching! Can we
all remember what this mailing list is supposed to be about?
If someone sends something inappropriate to Birding-Aus, then please take
it up with them OFF LIST! Involve me, by all means, but let's not have
people firing off annoyed replies to the list for the next few days as
each person logs on and discovers the offending message. You might even
find after a few heated messages that the original one was sent in error
(as happened recently).
Would you rather read one pointless message, or be inundated with a few
dozen more that are not a bit less pointless?
I don't mean to offend anybody, but can we please get on with the main
business of this mailing list?
Thanks, and happy birding!
Russell
