I cannot tell a lie, it was I. And as Laurie suggests, it was the result
of hitting a wrong reply button. Luckily, I didn't say anything too
naughty even if it was off birding. 
Glad to see the content police are still awake.

For what it is worth, I believe the original author accidently sent the 
initial post to the list - as a consequence of hitting the "reply all" 
button, rather than the "reply" button.  Since then, there have been a 
further 8 posts to the list [including this one].  The bulk of those 
posts could have been sent offline.
