Hi birders,

Made a quick dash to Rutherglen and Chiltern over the weekend, staying
overnight in Corowa.

8 Painted Snipe were still present at the Rutherglen wetland, including
a fully plumaged female. Seeing all 8 birds together was a memorable
experience.

At the Honeyeater (Cyanide) Dam at Chiltern-Mt Pilot NP there were
Turquoise Parrot, Black-chinned Honeyeater, and White-bellied
Cuckoo-shrike. A Barking Owl was seen near the edge of the Mount Pilot
Range. Large numbers of White-browed and Masked Woodswallow were also
present around the park.

Enjoyed the chance to get away. Amongst a number of other stressful
events, our house was being schedule for demolition over the weekend!

Cheers,

Tim
