Many moons ago I enjoyed going to Phillip Island to see the penguins, and on our last trip in Hobart heard about Bruny Island but the ferries (and penguins) were not amenable for a day trip. I read about some colony for viewing in Stanley in the Carnivorous Nights book about 3 Americans looking for the tassie tiger (and interesting read). I figured this might be something for my kids to see so I am interested in hearing aobut peoples experiences view penguins in fairly accessble places (for families) in Aust and NZ cheers Cas -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
