I was awake for the Dawn Chorus for the first time in a while, so had a
good listen. Just checking, is the main purpose for the birds to say
"I'm here, and I'm alive, did anyone else live through the night? And
where are you?". It's interesting hearing the calls that match get
closer and closer together. You can actually do that with some of the
invertebrates here as well. Not a very interesting chorus here, Noisy
Miner, Indian Mynah, Grey Butcherbird, a couple of Laughing Kooka's and
the odd Noisy Friarbird today -- Evan Beaver Lapstone, Blue Mountains |
