Hi Mike and all from Gloucester NSW Today at midday saw 8 swifts over my back garden at 32 00 04 - 151 57 59.They were circling from approx.100m up to almost out of sight, well apart and I only saw 8 at one time. A Dollarbird family (2 adults/3 juv) were also busily hawking from the trees at the back, so there must have been a hatch-out of some tasty insects - couldn't see anything in particular. It's been overcast all day, calm and very humid and hot, but just had a short heavy thunder/rain storm from the east, so it's cooled down. -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
