This morning at about 7.15 four Glossy Black Cockatoos glided over my house in Winmalee (80km west of Sydney). Three headed into the gully below our place and the fourth landed in an Allocasuarina torulosa in my next-door neighbour’s backyard. I decided to give them an hour to settle into feeding before I checked on them but when I went outside I couldn’t see or hear them.
