There were a couple of Helmeted Guinea Fowl feeding on the cut grass
behind the Samsonvale Cemetery [SEQ] yesterday. I know that HGF are
often in free range situations, and as far as I know, the cemetery is a
fair way [as the HGF walks] from any settlements. I was wondering
whether this pair were day-release fowl or whether they had
permanently flown the coop. Are HGF breeding "in the wild" these days,
and does anyone know how far HGF range from their home roosts?
