Hi birders,

My family and I are planning a trip to Long Island in the Whitsundays in May. I am just starting to plan my “wish list” and I was wondering if someone familiar with the area could give me some idea as to what to look out for at that time of the year. As I am a beginner, I get excited about just about every bird, so forgive me if I tell you I saw Black-faced Monarch, Yellow thornbill, Great Egret and Chestnut Teal for the first time today, at Huskisson on Jervis Bay!

                                                                                            Cheers, Tracey
