The only good thing I can think of about the heat wave we've endured in Adelaide was the presence of several Purple-crowned Lorikeets in the tree in my front yard and on the bird bath under it. I think I refilled the bird baths about 30 times during the heat on Saturday to cater for all the hot thirsty New Holland Honeyeaters, Wattlebirds, Ravens, Spotted turtle-doves and Crested Pigeons, not to mention the numerous blackbirds.
Cheers
Chris
