G'day all I have a Kowa TS501 20-40 zoom eyepiece, angled view (about $500). The cheapest 'quality' scope available when I purchased a few years ago. If that is your price range I reckon you would be happy with this model. It is light so carrying is easy but it gets buffeted by the wind a bit more than the heavier models. Mine was from the Birding Shop (http://www.thebirdingshop.com/scopes.htm). Check out the scope forum in http://www.birdforum.net/ as well. Cheers Steve |
