G'day All

In regards to my last posting on SEQ, I have had a number of queries on the bush hen site. The location was actually moggil creek at Brookfield, not Moggill itself - sorry - forgot the word creek. Unfortunately the bird is on private property and there is a house nearby so would need permission. It is nesting in Lomandra, and the top of the leaves are pulled in and quite noticable when you look at the plant. If anybody would like to see the pics they're at www.gondwanaguides.com.au/Images.htm

Other possible sites are Apex Park, Lake Samsonvale near Dayboro. They were calling last week from across the creek. They are also currently calling here near lamington in back creek so it seems now is the time to look for thebirds. Late afternoon seems to be when they call the most.

Regards

Dan Blunt
