I gleaned this item from 'Column 8' in this morning's Sydney Morning Herald.

Caroline Furlong has sent in a report of a remarkable event.  We pass it on in full: "On Tuesday morning on the seventh hole at Bayview Golf Club, Colleen Ferretti was about to pitch onto the green for three on the par four hole.  Suddenly something hit her on the head.  There was a loud thud and a splash of blood.  Something lay wriggling beside her.  Her playing partners - Caroline, Johnny and Sally Furlong - ran over to see what had happened.  What they saw was a 40-centimetre mullet that had dropped from the sky.  At first we thought it must have been thrown from a nearby house.  Later we saw an eagle circling the area.  Who knows?  But it was very funny at the time.  Colleen wiped the hole."
