When trying to birdie the 18th at The Vines near Perth, I came across a pair of Australian Wood Ducks with 16 ducklings. The ducklings had just hatched and were all the same size. As no other wood ducks were in the vicinity it appears they were all from the same clutch.
Has anyone seen a larger clutch at the one time for any Australian bird species?
Regards Wynton Maddeford
PS As The Vines is hosting the Johnnie Walker Classic in early February, you may get a chance to see some of them on TV. |
