A friend has a pair of breeding Satin Flycatchers on her property near
Allora. I'm not certain whether there are any other Queensland breeding
records in recent years, but this one has been photographed and pics of
male, female, nest and young are on the Abberton website as of today. Go to
http://www.abberton.org/birds2005.htm to have a look.

Advice from anyone about other Queensland breeding records for Satin
Flycatcher would be appreciated.

We were lucky to find Squatter Pigeon near Karara later the same day
(Friday, 9th December).

Back in the Lockyer, I counted 13 Great-crested Grebes at Lake Dyer on
Saturday.

At Abberton we've got a Bush-hen calling loudly, for the third consecutive
December, and we've had a couple of visits from a Diamond Dove - one a bit
west of its recognised range and the other a bit easterly.
