First Spine-tailed Needletails at Cookamidgera east of Parkes, about 60+ birds feeding above canopy. WE normally don't get STNT at Parkes the more common swift being the Fork-tailed but none have been observed this season.

A lone Grey Falcon was also observed circling Parkes in the late afternoon which is unusual and is the first I've seen over a build-up area, I don't count Ivanhoe as a build-up area.

The regular counts of the Parkes Sewage Ponds  identified that nearly all the Grey Teal have departed along with Black Ducks, but Pink-eared Duck and Hardheads now make up the majority of the ducks. Two Freckled Ducks  (MF) are also present. The recent flooding has possible caused the dispersal of the Grey Teal and Black Ducks.
