Birds Australia are seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic person or couple to
manage the Broome Bird Observatory (BBO) under the direction of the BBO
management committee. The Observatory is situated in a bush environment on
Roebuck Bay, Broome. It is a not for profit research and education centre
which runs tours and courses. It has limited accomidation and camping
facilities. Duties include marketing and promotion, management of small
staff, shop and tour operations and financial management. Accomodation is

Assistant Wardens: Broome Bird Observatory
Birds Australia are seeking hard-working, enthusiastic people to work at
the Broome Bird Observatory (BBO) between Febuary and October in 2006. The
Observatory is situated in a bush environment on Roebuck Bay near Broome.
It is a not for profit research and education centre which runs tours and
courses. It has limited accommodation and camping facilities. Duties
include taking people on tours, working in the shop and office, liaison with
guests, maintenance and cleaning. Accommodation is provided on site,
together with a small salary. Please note you must have held a driving
licence for at least 4 years to be eligible, as assistant wardens are
required to obtain an F class licence immediately/before they commence work.
