In April of this year I started to keep a daily list (instead of area lists like I used to). It makes the birding new every day and when the day comes to a close I can sit down and wonder, "Now how did I NOT get a Brown Honeyeater today?" I write where I have been and the date then the species list. It's also a good way of remembering every day. I'm also halfway through the book (or more, halfway through the year in the book) and am planning many birding trips already (the first major one I think will be Flynn Rd for Western Shrike-tit). One thing that amuses me about Sean's plight is that all his potential girlfriends run away at the mention of birding. Here I am - a 26 year old female rabidly into birding, and my other half is the one totally disinterested. Ironic. Belinda Just been in Broome, currently in Perth, soon to be in Adelaide briefly |
