Peter Fuller mentioned two 300 acre + lots for sale which are "nestled
between the Bullock Creek and
the Terrick Terrick natural Murray Pine forest..

I forwarded some background information on the area to Peter. He suggested
I should forward same to the list in case some of you are interested.

The lignum, eremophila and allocasuarina along Bullock Creek at Maloga is a
terrific birding spot, listed on the birding spots page of the Echuca &
District BOCA site. It is worth visiting in conjunmction with any visit to
Terrick Terrick National Park. It attracts several inland honeyeater
species, according to what is in blossom, especially in summer.

The property for sale apparently lies between the lignum-lined Bullock
Creek and Terrick Terrick National Park. At least most of it has been
ploughed and cropped over the years. There are some remnant trees but
restoration of the original indigenous vegetation would be difficult, if
not impossible. I've never paid much attention to this property but have
often visited Bullock Creek at Maloga (near the railway crossing) and
Terrick Terrick National Park.

Incidentally, the Mt Hope NCR lies some distance to the north. Adjoining Mt
Hope, the Millsom family has placed a Trust for Nature Covenent on much of
their large property, effectively doubling the size of the reserve. Mawsons
(a local quarry company) own another piece of land adjoining Mt Hope
reserve and have also placed
a covenent on their disused quarry site.
