HiCouldn't remember if the theme of 'birds calling at night' had run its race on birding-aus. Recently a fan-tailed cuckoo called through out the night over three nights. Is this unusual? Is there any explanation that might be associated with the cuckoo's arrival in the south and expected breeding?
