Hi there birders, While putting out the rubbish bin this morning I added a new species to our home list. Two Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos flew slowly overhead, uttering their distinctive call and heading east. This is about 60km east of where they are regularly seen in the Adelaide Hills. I have also seen them at Miningie some 80 km south and at Coonalpyn some 90km south east. Yesterday I also heard a Rufous Songlark for the first time this spring.
