Hello all, There was a Pectoral S/P, Spotless Crake and a Buff -banded Rail at Pitt Town Lagoon Wednesday. Speaking to a few birdo's, Shining Bronze Cukoos appear to be down in numbers this year, its a bird that responds readily to its call but I have not called one in or heard one for some weeks now, how are you finding them. The Scarlet Honeyeaters appear to have left the Hawksbury area early this year, have not heard one for the past couple of weeks. Lathams Snipe is another one that seems in short supply this year, appreciate your comments. keith b the beautiful Hawkesbury 60km N/W of Sydney

Dear Keith
I think all your Shining-Bronzes and Scarlet Honeyeaters have moved to Gloucester - the latter arrived last week and the former have got much more noisy recently.
