Hi All I spent a couple of hours at the WTP (Werribee, Vic) on Sunday. In general terms it was fairly quiet, except for the Conservation Ponds, which was teeming with waders. Some of the birds seen at the Ponds included Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (300+), Red-neck Stint (50+), Curlew Sandpiper (10+), Black-tailed Godwit (1), Glossy Ibis (2), Red-kneed Dotterel (4) and Black-winged Stilt (30) and Whiskered Tern have returned in good numbers. There was also an active pair of Black-shouldered Kite, with 3 delightful orange colored young kite sitting and watching in a nearby dead tree. Cheers, Tim -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
