Late yesterday afternoon (30 Sept 05), while exploring the river's
edge at the Powerhouse performing arts centre (New Farm, Brisbane), I
heard, floating across the water from the other side of the river,
the incessant calling of a Pheasant Coucal. It seemed to be coming
from the eucalypt/scrubby scree area under a place labelled 'Lourdes
Hill'. I don't know what or where this place is (Balmoral???), and
I'm having trouble believing I actually heard this... though it went
on & on
