At 5am today, I recognised my first Koel for Arncliffe. It was participating in today's dawn chorus. I did not register it at first. It's coo-ee calling seemed solo. It was not loud or urgent and was in key and pitch with the others and it took it's turn.

It must have come in overnight on the strong w-nwly winds we had yesterday in Sydney.
