Hi
In the interests of record keeping....
first Channel Bill Cuckoo & Dollarbird - Minnippi,
                 Sunday 25.9.

Leaden Flycatcher - Moggill State Forest, Saturday 24.9
(Wonga Pigeon as well, but no
                                      White-eared Monarch this time)

Grass Owls, Sunday night at Kedron Brook Wetlands
               (thanks, Dan)

Is it possible that CBCs, Koels and such like don't call on migration?
ie Don't call until they reach what they consider as their 'breeding
grounds' and hence we don't see them in SE Qld until AFTER the southern
arrivals - 'ours' travel later as they don't have so far to go?
Don't want to prolong this thread but it really is quite amazing that
they are heard so far south before appearing here.

Cheers,
