Last Friday afternoon I observed a juvenile Jabiru at the Alice Springs Sewage Ponds. It rose from the banks and slowly climbed out of sight via a thermal. Yesterday afternoon, Will Cormack observed presumably the same bird there and it also lifted off the bank and did the same thing. I don’t know if there are other records of Jabiru here.
