Hi All Today at 1.15 pm I found a Powerful Owl 2 klm upstream of Bell Bird Pocket, west of Brisbane. One week ago I ticked Rufous Owl at Emerald Creek Falls, on the Atherton Tableland, North Q.L.D. Thanks for a previous report of a sighting in this area. At the Crater nearby I ticked Gould's Bronze Cuckoo. So I've had a good week. It was interesting to compare the Owls. I have only seen Powerful Owls at night before, or flying away.
