I don't think it's terribly common, but I have been attacked a couple of times about this time last year by a red wattlebird on the bike path at the end of Merri Creek in Melbourne.  I think the bird learned a lot from the local magpies!

Hi all. New to the site and hope to be able to post regular sighting from
the Orange NSW area.

Today I saw a male Red Wattlebird chase a Pied Currawong from what appeared
to be the female and the nesting site. Does anybody know if this is a common
behaviour of the Red Wattlebird?
Thanks

Terry
