I am about to ask the Birding Shop for the third replacement pair of lens caps for my Swarovski bins, since I first purchased the bins in 2002. In all cases it is the rubber ‘hinge’ that perishes after about 12-18 months. I would imagine that I am lot alone with this problem on otherwise outstanding bins (certainly Charles at the birding shop has alluded to the fact that he is providing these covers to other birders). I would like to hear from other owners so that I can make a case to Swarovski recommending a change to their manufacturing process.

Cheers

Alastair
