Hi Birders,

When it comes to the status of the Wompoo Pigeon in the Illawarra Region, I was wrong. However I am grateful to Ian and Chris, for putting me right and giving the information which is what John Penhallurick was after. As the last five (1977-1994) recent records for the Illawarra were listed as "unconfimed" ( Chafer et al 1999) does that mean that there is some doubt about the reliability of the observations, ie they were not Wonga Pigeons?

On another note, today my first Channel-billed Cuckoo flew over Bateau Bay at 6.10 am while yesterday was my first sighting of White-breasted Woodswallows for this spring at Tuggerah Lagoon .
