Hi Birders,

While I cannot recall whether I have seen Varied Trillers feeding on the ground, I do know that early in July at Boambee Point, south of Coffs Harbour NSW, a pair of Varied Trillers were feeding very low, less than a metre high, out on some open heathland on the Headland but not far from a clump of rainforest trees. The birds could have well gone down on the ground.
