I can think of two people who browse and respond occasionally but don't
subscribe directly: Frank O'Connor and Terry Pacey.

Good point Karen,
                           Why not only allow subscribers to post on
Birding-aus? Non-subscribers could post via subscribers. I don't recall
any postings of note from non-subscribers and seem to pick up a few
viruses through B-aus according to Norton.
