The first Latham's Snipe have been sighted at the Powling Street Wetlands,
Port Fairy. We saw four on 16 August, quite flighty and moving around. Peak
counts for the last few years have been 200-300 so we are looking forward to
seeing how many come this year. Also present black-winged stilts, black
ducks, great egret and buff-banded rail.
