Hi,

I heard on the news the other day that several Melbourne men have been implicated in a tree fern racket. Court action is being taken to prosecute two for the illegal 12 million dollar business venture that took plants from forest in the Strezlecki ranges.

Prosecutions are presumably being done by DSE. Would that be the same DSE that recently allowed the logging of sensitive parts of Barmah State forest where Superb Parrots breed? Do I detect a slight hint inconsistency?

Regards,

Simon Mustoe.
