Hello Paul,
I understand that most of the area that I'm calling the Awaba Forest is
being explored for its so-called potential.
I wasn't aware that anything was further advanced than exploration
though. The area you've mentioned is a fair distance from the Masked
Owls that I've been watching so its probably not an immediate problem .
During the non-breeding season though they probably forage a lot further
afield and it could be an area they use.
Cheers

Hi Mike,
Are you aware of the proposed open cut coalmine under consideration for the
triangle of land bordered by the F3, Freemans Drive and Palmers Rd.
Centennial Coal are running out of resource at the nearby Awaba Colliery and
want to mine this bit of land. I guess your owls are not nesting in this bit
of land but would surely use it for hunting?
