I have just checked the current Atlas of Victorian Wildlife data for this species and there are recent records of Weebills for this locality and region of Victoria. Emison et. al. (1987, Atlas of Victorian Birds) make the following comments (in part) for Weebills in Victoria: '(Weebills)..are rarer and more scattered in similar habitats in southern Victoria, where they favour foothill dry forests containing Red Box. I encourage all observers to ensure their sightings get into the Atlas of Victorian Wildlife or Birds Australia Atlas so we can better manage our natural heritage. cheers, Martin Martin O'Brien
