Greetings,
For those heading to Yungaburra to see the Red Goshawks.
Last sighting 9:45 one bird between the dump and the cemetery in a large
Blue Gum. Turn into the town and up the hill to the Catholic church and
follow signs or ask at the info centre.
Possible sighting of the other bird earlier in the morning between Lakeside
Estate and Lake Barrine. Stop at the first right turn after leaving Barrine
forest heading west. this will allow you to look over the site.
Both birds have been seen on a number of occasions near the western end of
cedar Street and the Top end of Ash Street.
Fig tree at the bottom of Ash Street has Double eyed Fig-Parrots feeding
quietly most of the day. Fig tree in the market park has numerous Barred
Cuckoo-shrikes coming and going.
Both species of Pygmy Goose at Tinaburra but many skiers heading that way
may put paid to that.
Regards,
Alan Gillanders
