As a guide I am eternally in the position of
happily educating international birders on the name "gerygone".
Their name should have been left as Warbler. In 40
plus years of listening to their varied and in some cases very beautiful
calls I have always concluded that they were warbling.I have yet to hear one
"gerygon-ing".
