BROWN QUAIL SEEN NEAR LUNA PARK AT LAVENDER BAY?

Hello birdlovers... Lorne here...

 

A good mate of mine, who's a bird appreciator rather than a real birdo, claims he saw a brown quail running around in a park at Lavender Bay, by North Sydney, on Sunday. Highly suspicious, I checked out the area yesterday and uncovered nothing.

 

Anyone every seen quail here? I reckon its an avairy escapee, but even that seems odd.
