Hi All.
Spent an hour or so this morning at Soldier's Pt.
to see what was about. Had better than expected results, given the wind
(SW). Saw my first Albatross and Great Skua of the season.
Black-browed Albatross 2
Yellow-nose Albatross 1
Albatross sp 5
Great (Brown) Skua 1
Fluttering Shearwater several hundred (passing in
small groups throughout time I was there)
Possibly 2 Prion sp but didn't get good enough
look
Also on the rocks below 2 Sooty Oystercatchers, 5
Double-banded Plovers, 1 Grey-tailed Tattler and a grey morph Eastern Reef
Egret, the first I've seen at this location.
No sight of White-fronted Terns yet.
