You require a 4WD as the tracks are a bit sandy and rutted

The ostrich is (supposed to be) on Mount Arden Station, I had no luck 
despite two attempts last spring.
The owner is John Wilkinson 08 8643 8958. He lives at Kootabarra(?)
station 
80-100 kms north of Port Augusta.
You will probably have to visit him to get instructions and a map as the

birds are out the back of his place and navigation is tricky. From
memory
 there were about 8-10 gates
