Hi All,

Sunday morning I set off to feed the chooks. First up I was distracted by a
pair of Red-browed Treecreepers, not usually up around the house. Then I
noticed White-throated Treecreepers and Varied Sittellas. A trifecta! But
it got better. Crested Shrike-tits were working the loose bark on the
Scribbly Gums, Brown-headed, Lewin's, Yellow-faced and New Holland
Honeyeaters were feeding in the Banksia spinulosas and a Wonga Pigeon
wandered up the path in front of me. Variegated Fairy-wrens, Brown
Thornbills and Red-browed Finches hunted insects in the vegetable garden
while a Grey Fantail and a Golden Whistler foraged in a Red Bloodwood. I
could hear Spotted Pardalotes and a Rose Robin and the ever-present Crimson
Rosellas fed on Scribbly Gum seeds. It took a full half hour to get to the
chook house.
