Since April we've had several groups of people here at Bowra {in S.W.Qld.} and all have had good sightings of Grey Falcons. The latest being last night at about 5.45p.m. when a juvenile flew over the house. Last week some people saw 3 of them and thought one was a juvenile, so now, more than ever all eyes are looking upwards, just as well a bit of cool weather has set in and the snakes have gone to sleep.
Most people have a must see list for this area and Hall's Babblers, Bourke's Parrots and C-breasted Quail-thrush are always on it. So far all birds have been very obliging, even the Quail-thrush which are probably the shyest of the 3.
Now that we've had 60 mls. of rain we're hoping for the return of flocks of Budgies and Black, Pied and Painted Honeyeaters once things start flowering. The little Redthroats have been seen by most people and one lady was very happy to see a Crested Bellbird after being tantalised by its call for a couple of days, they're very good ventriloquists!
Cheers,
 Julie
