Thankyou Michael - I sincerely agree re the spread primaries (broad
fingered wingtip outline - not strongly tapered to a point) - plus the
colouration and general jizz of the thing is unquestionably the bigger
rather than the smaller kite (and it proves my eyesight isn't totally
shot!!).
The last two are Striated Thornbills, striations can be seen on their
crowns.
This rather lets me down on the eyesight matter ... thankfully I can
still hear, and so Striated v. Yellow Thornbills are a cinch in the
field :-)
