I too have recently noted pairs of Wedge-tailed Eagles apparently checking out potential nest sites in the Clarence Valley, NSW North Coast.  One pair was in the vicinity of a currently unoccupied Black-necked Stork nest.  One eagle was perched at the edge of the nest.  We are watching the nest closely to see if a tenancy row erupts!
