I saw one of the above over my house in Turramurra (N Sydney) at 8am on 9 April. I think that this is only the 2nd or 3rd that I have ever seen from my place - my house list records the 1st sighting in October 2003. Interestingly, although having a pretty classic raptor shape, it did not set the local "Noisy Miner raptor alarm system" off at any point of its traverse from west to east - I just saw it circling as I was out on the deck eating my breakfast, so I think it can be classed as a lucky spot.
