G'day all

I'm just back from a work trip to Tamworth, Inverell and Armidale districts and managed to see a few nice birds. The highlight was a single Plum-headed Finch with a small flock of Zebra Finch. A new bird for me. Very dry up that way after a failed summer rainy season.

Tamworth
Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater
Noisy Friarbird

Barraba
Pied Butcherbird
Little Friarbird
Spiny-cheeked honeyeater
Blue-faced Honeyeater

Inverell
Intermediate Egret
Torresian Crow

Macintyre Station (on the Macintyre River north of Barraba)
Zebra Finch
Plum-headed Finch
Red-winged Parrot

Cheers
