Just a follow up on this possible sighting.

The Atlas of Victorian Wildlife has just five records of the Black-necked Stork (near Myrtleford, Wartook, Grampians and Wodonga) for the state.

All records are quite old (1942 to 1979) so if full details of the observations are forwarded to the Atlas it would be great.

The AVW can be contacted by emailing Barbara Baxter on

I encourage the observers or those with the details of the sighing, to forward this information on to the Atlas.

cheers, Martin
